Films of maps you don't have

Is there any way to tell what plug was used for a film? I have some films that i have no idea what map they were played on so i can't watch them.

If Baak doesn't notice this topic, send him a pm he has arcane knowledge of Myth recordings (films).

Myth II 1.7 will tell you this information. So hold on to your films!

Dang, I'm hoping 1.7 will also do my laundry -- can you add that to the wish list? ;)


If you can't wait for 1.7 to open your films, you just need a hex editor to open up the film file itself. Any non-standard (i.e. third-party) plugins will be listed near the top of the file.

Here's a snapshot of a hex editor with a recording from TWS open. You can see the third-party plugin name in the section I highlighted:
