Post by qwerty2 »

unit trading box be made re-sizeable

fix the heron turn heal bug

more customisation allowed in autohosting
modification of map based on number of player
ability to autohost without having myth open (probably not possible)
having mariusnet host a permanent autohosted game

ability to set random captains without turning teams on or having anyone join them

To our knowledge, this bug has been fixed in 1.7. Do you have evidence that says otherwise?

Not possible, trust me. It's a fixed size hardcoded into M2.
fix the heron turn heal bug
Unfortunately Myrd I can confirm this is still happening. Just recently I was in a DoD or Mazz game with Spa, and his HG did the HG Dance instead of heal.

What exactly are you looking for? Autohost allows you to set whatever game you want just as you would a normal game.
modification of map based on number of player
Please elaborate
ability to autohost without having myth open (probably not possible)
Yea I highly doubt that's gonna happen, or even possible.
having mariusnet host a permanent autohosted game
This is more of something that the people at MariusNet would need to be asked. As far as I can guess, it would require some type of Myth client installed on the server. An interesting idea though.
ability to set random captains without turning teams on or having anyone join them
But the game already does that.

No need to be snarky to Myrd. He would be the one who takes the time to fix the issue.

I can't claim to be game server guru or expert on autohosting, but unless I am misunderstanding the question it wouldn;'t matter if it's 'mariusnet' or a random person doing the hosting, anyone can host a 'permanent autohosted game' they just have to leave myth running 24-7 on their machine. i guess if the server crashed the myth session and autohost would have to be restarted, but i don't know how you would automate starting up myth and autohosting a game unless you just use one of those keyboard mouse capture macro programs that keeps track of where you move your mouse and click and lets you 'play back' (or rerun) the act of starting up an autohost game.

modification of map based on number of players was supposed to be part of the customisation of autohosting, for some reason the forum ruined my formatting. For example, if there are 5 players in the autohosted game the autohost will only choose 5 start maps.

It would be very helpful. Often late at night (Australian time that is) there are a bunch of people wanting to play but no-one to host.

I can't see any option when hosting to set captains in a random game.

It wasn't my intention to be snarky.

Is it played using 1.7 gameplay or 1.6 gameplay? If 1.6, it will still have all the pre-1.7 gameplay bugs. If it is using 1.7 gameplay, please send it to me (you can attach it to your post).
