Anyone Interested in Archiving Maps...

Post by stratman »

This might be interesting. I'm not really sure how many of these can actually be found, but this was, up to the end, a pretty comprehensive list of the maps we played on tfl demo.

Unfortunately, all these links are dead, and I don't know the logins/passwords to any of this stuff. Maybe this would be quite a challenge. Who can track down all of the files listed on this page?

i looked for them a few years back when I came across your webpage and had no luck - people probably have them on HDs on computers sitting in their closets, but I couldn't find them online anywhere. The closest thing I found was the TFL Demo map plugin you made (with Annubis) that contained _most_ of the maps. I posted the info on mariusnet before I saw your post here, but your demo plugin is available at the udogs site (hl.udogs.net)

Hi!

VR is talking about the demo maps plugin you and Anubis made which contained nearly all of the demo maps: http://hl.udogs.net/files/Gaming/%20Myt ... %20V23.zip
http://hl.udogs.net/files/Gaming/%20Myt ... yplace.zip
http://hl.udogs.net/files/Gaming/%20Myt ... smap12.zip

As far as the original demo map zip files go, I have a few of them which I could upload.

I am curious what about my comment was so unclear that you felt the need to restate it - and what you think your restatement made any clearer. Was it that I didn't use the word 'demo'?

Obviously I care or I wouldn't have asked. I try to be clear and make sure my words convey what I intend.
I was at a loss to understand how I could have said what I said any clearer, or if the restatement was supplying
some info I had somehow managed to omit or that I had expressed unclearly. thus the question.
