I've been keeping an eye on this. Here's hoping for another way companies can release new/old games on the mac platform.

With Intel Macs being as handy as they are with Windows installations (can't believe it almost took me a year to get around to doing mine), I'm not even sure why people would bother porting anymore.
True enough there's a load of people around with non-Intel Macs still, but as time goes on ...

Okay I got the models but now I'm too dumb to do anything with 'em
Re: Valve coming to Mac Platform?
I've had Windows XP installed on my Mac for nearly if not 2 years now, but I've only used it a handful of times. To be honest, I just really don't like the OS that much. I'd much rather be able to use more apps in my native OS.

True enough, although it's a short enough process (my XP installation is pretty bare bones so it takes bugger all time to start up!) it would be neat to not have to bother rebooting.Zeph wrote:this is why steam for mac would rock! No more booting in windows xp!

To those of you who've played Half-Life, would it be worth getting? I've heard a lot, but never seen in it action.
The cake is a lie.

Yes. Half Life was fully ported to OSX nearly a decade ago but never released.

Re: Valve coming to Mac Platform?
I enjoyed Half-Life 2. I only played the first one after HL2 came out. I figured, I best play the first before I try it. Then the expansions Episode One and Two. I wonder when the third will get made. Also, there are some fans making a Half-Life game with the Half-Life 2 engine, looks good. I can't wait to play that once it gets done.
Re: Valve coming to Mac Platform?
The first was really, really good, although I wasn't able to finish it completely. The second was phenomenal, and the expansions are well worth it.

It seems fun enough, but on the XBox 360 version of Half Life 2 you can't seem to change the field of vision, which is a problem as it gives me horrible motion sickness, which I've never gotten from anything else =SPyro wrote:I enjoyed Half-Life 2.
