What caused this?

Ok so this is my computer screen. The black parts have already been there, but recently the colored lines you see are progressively getting worse. Does that have anything to do with my video card or just the fact my laptop screen is cracked? Will it continue to get progressively worse?

If the screen is cracked, then yes, it could very well get worse as time goes on.

The reflection is caused by the flash being perpendicular to the computer monitor. A flash will NOT provide any more illumination of the screen than that provided by the back light.

Remedy: Turn off the flash and reshoot.
