Hi,
Does anyone know what sort of Scene Graph Myth 2 uses? Does it use the submeshes as some sort of Bounding Volumes?
Or since you can move the camera all over the mesh, does it treat the entire mesh as one big node?
Thanks,
Industry

Okay, since no-one replied. And since the folks who have seen the source code can't reply without breaking the rules. I will blatantly conjecture. The Myth Engine renders everything in any submesh or portion of submesh that appears in the camera view. A sort of occlusion culling, if you can't see it, it doesn't get rendered.

Is that why trees near the screen edge keep disappearing? Or rather, their shadows do?

Um ... probably. Can't say I've ever noticed it, but now I'm sure I'll see it all the time & it'll drive me crazy :0

I bet things like that get more noticeable the higher your screen resolution.
