Since I don't know you, and you only have 4 posts here, I'll take the jump and make the overly obvious comment.

If you press v - the default key for zooming out - you can widen your view. If you are making a map, you can lower the height of a map - someone who actually uses editing tools could help you there - to have a more God's eye view of the action.

You can use "V" to zoom out in Loathing too. No need to mess with mesh height.

But lowering the mesh height can give you an even farther distance from the ground than just hitting [v]. I've done it on a few maps. I'd rather not see the individual pixels on each unit.

Try holding down v. Be thankful for the zoom feature, since back in the 1.0 days of TFL, you couldn't zoom out at all.

*shudders*

there is a set maximum zoom - consider it a ceiling above the terrain that your observer cannot go through. some maps (as ppl have indicated) have elements nearer to that ceiling, which can feel too close.

you can adjust a number of aspects of the speed of your observer by opening fear and accessing the "observer constraints" file. none of these will make you able to zoom out any *further*, but you can do it much *faster*.

No zooooom!?? Aiiigh! I'm glad I came around in the days of TFL 1.3.

Was it just in multiplayer or something, because I remember playing a demo of TFL when I was 7-8, and I remember zooming. But eh, I dunno.

Cid : by 'zoom' they're talking about the extra big zoom you get in Myth 2. You know - it zooms out halfway at one angle, then once you zoom further it pans down a bit?
