Just so you guys know in case anybody is interested:

I'm doing a new plugin with Greek Hoplites units.
Unkfoldt is making colour maps:

battle of Marathon(unkfoldt did a great colour map for this)

http://carlinho7.tripod.com/id10.html

and he's doing a map fo the battle of Plataea right now.
and I'm planning on doing one for the battle at thermopylae and others

here's a link of what the spartan units looks like so far:

Stills:

and units by themselves:

It will take a loong time as I'm doing all units and levels and scripting and everything, but thought it was cool to share the project.

they told me myth 3 uses 3ds max to do units.
I don't even have myth 3 but I'll investigate what's that and how it works....I use Poser but never used 3ds max before.

I think it would be a lot more complicated. Do you have M3?

I just think that with a long spear it would look better with 3D units. Just look @ the Stygs in M3 to see why.

aye...don't have myth 3....sigh
But I'll get it soon so as to check that.
they told me to create units in myth 3 you need 3ds max, uhmmm have no idea how that program works...
if anyone releases a tutorial on how to do units for myth3 let me know!

Hey carlinho, only thing I'd suggest would be to increase the pathfinding radii a bit to keep your units apart more - that way you can actually see them fighting in all their glory ;)

The sprites are beautiful, keep at it!

When I've set up the site, can I put this on my Myth Atlas?

HEy thats great work man =-).

Also, as per a tutorial I'll have a m3 unit tutorial as soon as we finish Recon walking through the process of making units in max, boning them, and taging them.

guys, thanks a lot to everybody for the great feedback!

elfoid, of course, please do post it on myth atlas!

samsara: that would rock, I'm trying to get my hands on 3ds max so I try that out!

Iron: I actually did a tiny radius to make them fight really tight in a phalanx formation with spears. But well, what I'll do is when they throw the spear and fight with sword I'll increase the radius so they fight more apart, you got it!
