Heyaz,
I'm looking to get the latest version of Bryce for more landscape and modelling work. DAZ has recently taken ownership of Bryce, and made their proprietary product, DAZ|Studio, a Poser-like figurine virtual 3D photo studio, available for free download.
DAZ is both OS X and Windoze flavoured.

Given that DAZ|Studio is free, AND they're shipping their most popular female model Victoria 3.0 free with certain deals, I was wondering if anyone had considered making new unit sprites with it?
Bryce 5.5 integrates DAZ|Studio in with the interface... But I think it could be a little clunky. Still, it's the sort of clunky that hackzorz could get into for Myth.
Anyone tried DAZ|Studio? Anyone tried Bryce 5.5? Fe: Would you chuck Anim8tor in for DAZ|Studio? Reviews, anyone???

you'd have to try it yourself, but from what I've heard and from looking at the "full features list" (http://www.daz3d.com/program/studio/1_0features.php) of DAZ, I'd say its a waste of time. Its basically a tool for importing models that already exist, placing them in a scene and rendering pretty pictures. There's nothing about creating or animating them.
This doesn't come close to what anim8or or blender are capable of.
