Ssure there is. Myth 2 is very much like myth 1, and it still has a decent community. Check it out sometime, it'll be worth the effort.

That's your problem Zeph, you used your intuition to try and decipher what the original poster actually wanted. I just took his words literally, which allowed me to provide a real answer despite the fact it's probably useless to him/her.

As far as atmosphere goes, I still say the only game to touch Myth is the Thief series.
Okay I got the models but now I'm too dumb to do anything with 'em

Eeeeh.. Marathon. You might be onto something... but I dunno. The Thief series just has so much character. Apart from a bit of dodgy vocal talent in Thief 3, all three games just have stacks of class, the crazy arsed music, the faux-religion thrown in left right and centre

HOLY SHIT THE MOUSE IS GOING FOR THE BAIT! YES!

Oh no it's gone again. (sorry I'm trying to catch a mouse using a cardboard tube, a plastic bag and bread as bait).

Yeah. A really funny main character, awesome artwork - the cutscenes are second to none, I'd really like to make cutscenes like those for Myth.
Marathon had a lot of atmosphere for something made in 1994, what with the moody lighting and kickarse sound design. Heck, even the MIDI music was kind of cool (someone should use Soundfonts to make it even better) but I don't think it really has as much shtoom as Myth or Thief.

*EDIT*
I'll mention Myth's Little Sister for a momentino - Halo. Call me nuts, but some of my favourite moments (cutscene-wise anyway) are on the bridge of UESC ships (or whatever they're called in Halo). Very naval, bit like Star Trek 2. I'd actually kill to see more of that.
Anyone ever play Bridge Commander? Now a game like that, but on a Halo bridge would be FUCKING AWESOME.
"Archer pods are cold! I'll have to rekey the- BAAAAH" (wall explodes and kills the guy driving the ship).
