Mummified, that is the word.
The cutscenes in Myth II were outsourced to Anime International Co, so they may look a little Japanese.

Re: The new High-Def Myth 2 SB 1.8 Icon
I had written out a post and then the comp crashes... One thing I was going to say is that despite the nature of the Myth II storyline I think this new icon is too overtly gruesome and confronting. Bungie's SB was less fleshy and alive, more dried, deathly, mediaeval, skeletal, undead, ancient, shru...

Re: Comment on my plugin.
To be honest this looks like a work in progress so it would be a good idea to give the entry the "beta" flag. There is an extra Willow Creek mesh with changed units and the original pregame text overlapping a new background map. There is another mesh but something is wrong with the name as...

Only a tiny minority of people who bought a copy of Myth ever played it online. Online players were mostly by default above average in ability. The ones left today have up to 14 years of practise. So don't feel too bad if you're finding it hard to make things work like clockwork ;) It is possible to...

Re: hey punkuser
i am sure connor or playatapus (sp) has a copy of the code so it's no doubt 'safe'. People are always losing old source code so I don't want to be complacent about that. given the malicious tendencies of some in the community, i can't imagine them wanting to release the source code to a server they...

Re: hey punkuser
Has the Mariusnet server source code been lost or is it under safekeeping? It always worked much so better than Bungie's server even after Blades tried to fix it up.

Re: Myth 2 1.7.2 mouse cursor 3dfx glide
Typically there'll be a jumper on the motherboard to increase the FSB from 66MHz to 75MHz which was what I did. It is unlikely the CPU would have a trouble with 262.5MHz but some weak HDDs and 66MHz SDRAM modules may not like being overclocked. I once blew a 66MHz SDRAM module by thoughtlessly putti...

Cap at the number of Hz your monitor is set at, usually 60. It won't display more.

Re: myth2 1.8 suggestions
I would like for the dots on the overhead map to be able to be resized when the map is resized. The dots become too small in many circumstances.
I'd also like the software mode to be able to upsize the map - a simple one pixel to become four, then sixteen etc, switch.

Re: Myth II Linux Beta Testing
I tihnk it would be a good idea if there was a Linux version of the Myth II demo at http://getmyth.com to coincide with the Linux executable release.Maquis196 wrote: Hell, once public beta, I'll be submitting that to slashdot . Such a classic game with Linux version support again. Worthy of a mention or two!
