For stampede, once you assigned the flags to teams, double click on them individually and select "Is Stoned". Otherwise the flags will switch teams when tagged.

igmo, to remove the randoms: 1. Open Fear. 2. Open the bowman in monster tags. 3. Double click on "bowman arrow". in the big white attacks window in the lower left. 4. Change the initial velocity range so that both values are the same - .250 for example. 5. Change the initial velocity err...

If there was some way to know the true standard deviation for all possible shots in a certain setup then we could work with much smaller data sets.... If someone was willing to work with me on trying to build a mathematical model of how all the tag variables for archer shots work we could attack th...

its pretty funny to say i need to put in 10hrs to make a valid analysis, when you wont take 30 secs to type in a username and fake email to post on the PoOp forum. :P 5 is small, but does begin to show a trend - and should not be ignored out of hand. Well, registering for forums happens to be a pet...

Hehe, I'm glad you made the test mesh instead of insisting I do it. ;) I looked at your results, but I don't think 5 tests per unit can prove anything. There are at least two, and possibly three random factors involved. The first is the attack velocity as I mentioned before. Another variable that o...

igmo, here's another suggestion for your test. As Iron stated, most Myth units use randoms settings. To really see if the engine is affecting anything, you'd need to make a special archer tag, or whatever, with static instead of random ranges. Then test this unit on both 1.3 and 1.5. The alternativ...

Nice try ChrisP. Don't play stupid when people know you're not. Eh, some people think I'm stupid. And maybe in this case I am, because the only post by Iron on the page you linked to says this: > I think CIK meant "_If_ you don't report the bugs, they > won't get fixed." Somehow I don't t...

That isn't what Iron said here . More bullshit. This is exactly the kind of thing that caused me to retire. Funny, seems the only time you come out of "retirement" is when you sense an opportunity to stir up more bull yourself. But anyway, what exactly are you referring to in your link th...

Here’s my two cents because I was late to the party and apparently some of this stuff can’t be said enough. It’s not hard to understand why there are some misconceptions. Unfortunately, it started out with certain parties on both sides of the “1.3 vs 1.4 or 1.5” debate stirring things up ...

Yes, it is possible. I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but make sure you're copying the collection in Fear, and not just duplicating the file via copy/paste or whatever. Also make sure things like collection references, monster and unit tags are pointing to the right tags.

Yes grim, it was a joke. And no worries, M2 unit tweaks or balance changes are definetly NOT part of the agenda. Sometimes odd little things can change as a result of fixing a real bug (walk-bug was notorious for this) but if the programmers become aware of it, they do their best to reverse the dam...

I think the best thing about 1.5 is how fetch have better range, dwarves throw faster and trow are easier to kill now. That and some of the other changes have really improved my playing skill.

And "umm yep" we didn't do anything with the uphill bug. The fix is there for mapmakers to activate if they wish. For ww2 the uphill bug is still there same as it always was. A bug that became a feature that became a bug again when it was a fix but was really still a feature bug. :P Hehe,...

Same problem here. I've tried placing my keyboard backwards and at different odd angles to try to compensate, but, um, no.
