Autohost & Ground Zero

Just some suggestions for the next update: it would be nice if one could set the autohost so that it would only start once everyone was checked in order to allow players to force it to stay open while waiting for friends (players would be alerted to whether or not this option is on by the autohost in the pregame screen). Also; it would be cool if one could type a brief message for the autohost to announce to players upon their entering such as "the 3rd parties green acres and gravediggers (available on the codex cd) will be hosted" or "every stock-map will be played" or "BC TRO KIKZ TWENNY FUR SEVNZ" or whatever.

P.S. I've told ooga and cap about this, but there are severe passability issues on ground zero in the multipack in that all 3 of the central hills are passable to melee on both light and dark.

Hey MM, yes those passability issues exist only with vTFL - its a vTFL bug not something in the multipack. We're working on a fix.

I'll leave Myrd to respond to the autohost ideas, as its his baby ;)

Problem with having a game stay open until everyone checks is someone can go AFK and stall the game indefinitely. Now, of course solutions can be coded to address this (automatic booting of AFK players after X time, booting a player who repeatedly checks/unchecks just to stall game, etc, etc) - but all of this ends up being a very complicated undertaking to ensure the feature can harmoniously work.

As for the brief message, that's what the title is for ;).

Hola, first post on this forum, might as well make it useful. :)

I really like the idea of the Autohost, but I've rarely seen it being used which really kinda sucks.
Some things that I'd like to see added (as well as the above comments added by Milk Man, namely, an auto 'message of the day') are..
1. A way for players to see which maps and gametypes are in rotation (Personally, I was going to put up a simple html page indicating this, but it'd be better in game), and:
2. Some way to give players some simple commands that would give them some control. For instance, whispering '/boot PlayerName' to the autohost would start a vote to boot said player or something. As well, adding a way for a player to add a game to the list (within some set of parameters set by the host, perhaps a list of privileged players who can make changes?).

I have some other comments regarding multiplayer. The game browser isn't so great anymore: limited typing block, no cut/paste, and rooms that there may not be a use for anymore.

I love Myth 2, and I'm really glad that Magma, Playmyth and Mariusnet is doing all this to keep this wonderful game active. I'd like to help out some how :D
