And now for something completely different...
I was visiting NewTek's site (makers of the 3d program Lightwave) and they have a hardware/software suite generically named VT4. What's interesting is the logo they're using. It looks, well, it looks suspiciously similar to VistaCartel's logo.
Proof:

Re: Vista ripoff
Agree they look similar at first glance, but on the other hand there's only so many ways to show one letter on top of a circle background which is - to be fair - a pretty common type/style of logo. And the similar font isn't that unique either - generally logos (and headlines) tend to be sanserif font faces. imo it has a generic similarity - silver metallic V superimposed over a silver metallic disc, but there are as many differences as similarities.Killswitch wrote:

I actually ran into the same issue when I made a quick 'logo' for my name. I put a 'VR' (vinylrake) on top of a circle with the letters leaking over the edges. Imagine my suprise when the Magma TFL Multipack for SB came out, to see the old Voracious Rabbits logo looking quite similar to the one I had come up with.

Heh...for the longest time, I thought you were the guy who made VR Pool Party.vinylrake wrote:I actually ran into the same issue when I made a quick 'logo' for my name. EXACTLY! I've been using 'vinylrake' since around the same timeframe as Voracious Rabbits (though I didn't know of them), and there's only so many ways to make simple eyecatching 'VR' logos.A-Red wrote:Heh...for the longest time, I thought you were the guy who made VR Pool Party.vinylrake wrote:I actually ran into the same issue when I made a quick 'logo' for my name. ps. Although I had NOTHING to do with the creation of it, I like to think that someone in the Voracious Rabbits order was a secret fan of mine and they named VR Pool Party in my honor...
not.

Don't let him kid you.
Vinylrake secretly dresses up like a rabbit, goes out at night, sits down with total strangers in outdoor cafes, initiates some small talk, then suddenly - and quite voraciously - starts eating food right off their plates!! I'm not kidding. We have videos.
And man... you should see those so-called "pool parties" he used to throw! O-M-G!!
