Windows XP - vertical task bar and non-windowed mode

Post by princepawn-gru »

If I try to use a vertical task bar and non-windows Myth II, when I startup Myth, the task bar widens to 4 times its size and Myth only takes up the rest of the screen.

The only way to prevent this is to put my task bar in Auto-hide mode, which I dont really like.

Ok , here it is:

Thing is, I have two monitors. And you are seeing both of them (with Dean Ween's photograph as the desktop background). So, when you see the "start" button at the top of the picture, that is my right-hand monitor and you also see that only half of Myth is on the screen. And notice the task bar is rather wide (it widens when I startup myth).

So, to have a vertical task bar, I have to put it in Auto-Hide mode, then myth starts up and takes up the whole window with no prob.

What about the Windowed-mode version? How does that one run? (if you turn off windowed mode obviously)

Or, if you were using the Windowed-mode version with windowed mode turned off, can you try the Classic version (its an option in the installer).

Yes, installing and selecting "Classic version" works perfectly.

Thanks.
