Since I got the new patch my camera now moves at a snail's pace, or appears to?
This is both with keys and mouse, both movement and zoom.

Re: Sluggish camera movemenet?
The camera movement speed has never been changed. You can download an old patch version to compare with and verify that this is the case.

Update your graphics drivers and/or try different settings in preferences.

That may help improve his FPS, but it isn't related to camera movement speed.Pyro wrote:Update your graphics drivers and/or try different settings in preferences.
Re: Sluggish camera movemenet?
Correct me if I'm wrong but 'sluggish movement' sure sounds like low FPS to me.
Re: Sluggish camera movemenet?
sluggish movement could appear to be due to low FPS, but if the FPS is too slow to refresh the camera's position in real time it's going to be jerky slideshowish as it can't refresh the screen often enough to display smooth motion. 'sluggish' could also describe crystal clear screen display with smooth motion but just really really slow movement.Graydon wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong but 'sluggish movement' sure sounds like low FPS to me.
Re: Sluggish camera movemenet?
Speed = distance / time
FPS = frames / time
These quantities are completely independent - either can be high or low regardless of the other one.
The OP refers to slow movement speed ("moves at a snail's pace"). Movement speed is independent of FPS. My interpretation of his post is literal and direct. If he had meant FPS, he most likely would have said the camera feels 'laggy' or 'choppy' or 'not smooth'. I could be wrong since I can't read his mind, but that is the nature of communication.

Then again, it is possible he had a modified "observer constants" at some point. He then forgot about it when reinstalling myth making it appear slower than he was used to.
