Is there a way to cap the framerate?

I've got like 3,000 FPS on Myth 2 and it's creating really annoying crosstalk with my soundcard in addition to making my GPU run into the 80°s.

Got it, you can add the game executable to your video card's software application and limit the framerate there.

There is a max FPS option in the settings.
