In a nutshell, Patchwork is designed to work with texture stacks from Myth 3.

There are two major functions of Patchwork. First, it can extract the individual JPG files that comprise a texture stack. Second, it can recombine the small images that make a mesh's texture stack (sometimes hundreds of images) into one big file again.
