The Tain

Today's date is March 30, 2025, and this is the first time I've ever seen this document in full. I recognize parts of this from various leaks throughout the years, and bits mentioned in Bungie interviews (especially the first page), but this the Unabridged document.

As I understand it, this is the long lost holy grail of all myth lore fans. This is the thing we all wondered about and masterfully debated over for years in "The Asylum" forum over at carnage.bungie.org. This is the thing I would have readily sliced off one, possibly even two, fingers to acquire back in my high school years.

It is packed with unseen flavor texts, a timeline, character names, and... holy of Myth holies... pages of glorious exposition concerning past and current events.

I am no longer young. But the shadow of my teenage spirit that has been asleep in the deep recesses of my brain all these decades has now lept from my body and is running around in mad circles on the avenue outside my house, jumping, shouting breathlessly and unintelligibly with joy, with warm spectral tears of happiness.
