More like robotron with amped up myth units than waiting to be attacked. Hit and run, herd enemies into ambushes. Use your inventory to select the proper weapon for the opponent at hand. All units vet way up and are capable of many special attacks.

Bowman Strider:

Arrows, Flame Arrows, Poison Arrows, Arrow of Health, Dagger Stab and Mana Special = Mighty Arrow (PLUS 7 possible powerups)

Dwarven Dagger Pathfinder:

Bottles, Dagger Stab, Special = Satchel Toss with Kill Memory AND Mana Special = Power Bottle Distance Throw (PLUS 4 possible powerups)

Heron Guard Madman:

Swords, Roots and Mana Special = Distance Heal (PLUS 4 possible powerups)

Myrkridian Giant:

Crazy Vetting Slaps and Mana Special = Exploding Skulls (PLUS 5 possible powerups)

Thug Warrior (Furthest vetting melee unit):

Sword, Thrown Item (6 options) and Mana Special = Super Chop (PLUS 4 possible powerups)
